Another typical day in some respects but a good one nevertheless. Even though I must go to work early due to work commitments.
I'm currently watching "The Apprentice" on TV whilst writing this.
I need absolute silence or music to write articles or do other "work" anyway so this is a great time to update the blog.
Again no sales - no surprise. Most bizarre but no surprise nevertheless. Something like 300 sales page views and not a single sale - and my author boxes do not lie about what is coming up either (the sales pages and products) so I figure should have a few sales out of 300+ views. Anyway......
2 articles written for my passion/niche/blog. Still haven't created the blog but wrote two more articles nevertheless. Although it is not good for the challenge deadline to delay building the site, I don't want to rush it so I'll wait until the weekend to do this while I still write articles each day.
Product creation - was going to do 2 more half hour sessions of brainstorming but did half hour because I actually didn't need to do the 2nd session. I have exhausted all my ideas and am really stoked (as you Americans might say) about this project because I have such a passion and a knowledge for this product I'm creating.
It also got me thinking about the product creation process - I might, for my 3rd book, create a book on product creation. Based on several product creation courses and my own input, I think I can create something pretty good. Heck, I'm even thinking of taking a week's holiday just so that I can work like nuts and maybe get 2 products done!

Do you track the clicks on the actual affiliate link on your page, or do you just track the clickthroughs to your own pre-sales page?
If you've sent over 300 unique visitors to the merchant's page, it seems their page isn't converting too well; I would dump them and start concentrating on another merchant or another niche.
Are you sure your links are working?
Hi guys,
For 45 articles, I've got 12000 views and 300 author bio click throughs.
That's a click through rate of 2.5%
I link directly to clickbank hop page. You can't actually link to the CB url from ezinearticles but you are allowed to link to a domain of your own.
So, I've bought domains and set at the domain registrar a url redirect to my cb hoplink. This is perfectly acceptable to ezinearticles.
I just checked my links and all look fine, they are redirecting with no problems. I have also cleared my cookies and noticed that the links do indeed create a cookie for clickbank.net so that seems OK too.
I wonder if my click through rate of 2.5% is poor. Certainly I would like to improve it.
I also wonder whether zero sales for 300 visitors is abnormal. After all, this is not a long term average. For all I know I could make 2 sales tomorrow making an average of one sale per 150 visitors. Any idea what I should be getting re: conversions on a sales page?
btw I am in about 5 or 6 niches so my efforts are diversified and I don't think that all the vendors are poorly converting, I hope!
Thanks for your comments, any suggestions? :)
